Amethyst by Lauren Royal

Historical romance set in the Restoration period about a female jewelry maker named Amethyst who falls in love with a nobleman.
I didn't finish this because it got 3 strikes fairly quickly
Repeated the urban legend that "Ring around the rosy" was based on the plague (which had just happened)
Has the hero and his servant stage a murder scene as a practical joke
Has Charles II talking taking an active part in events - this is a pet peeve of mine in historical novels.  I don't like very well known people to take a part in a novel, unless it is very, very minor.

I'm sure lots of other people would like it, but it didn't work for me.
