(no subject)

Well, I'm back at work after being off for 6 1/2 weeks. Question #2 of the day has been "Are you glad to be back?" (#1 is "Are you feeling good?"). What I answer Q2 with depends very much on who I'm talking to!

Oy. I can't breathe very deeply yet, which is a real problem when I end up parked in the back 40. Even before that hike, I had to get Bob's help on putting my hose on, because I just wasn't bending that well. Tonight's job is to get a new electric razor (as the cats have started thinking that my legs are actually another cat) and some pants so that I can pretend to be dressing business casual.

I thought when I was off that I would be spending a lot more time writing when I was off, but the lure of passive net-surfing and semi-mindless games got the better of me. Vicodin doesn't help my concentration, either. On the more productive side, I hired some people to re-tile my entryway, and replace the hall carpet that regularly gets flooded with tile as well. It looks lovely.

I gave my LJ address to my sister-in-law, who is blogging under the name reforminggeek. Everybody wave at SIL!
