Video post, russian version
Aug. 5th, 2007 02:27 pmThis started with a crossword clue about the some Icelandic song whose name sounded like Volga. Which led to the Volga Boatmen's song.
Which led to finding out that there is a Russian Folk song called "Those Were the Days". So I had to find out if this had anything to do with the pop song, so I looked it up on YouTube.
This performance is great in so many different ways - the wonderful skirt dancing and violin playing, the song that us older folks will remember, and the Russian Englebert Humperdink!
