Apr. 1st, 2005 03:40 pmMonday: Worked, visited Mom in the evening. Mark stayed with Mom.
Tuesday: Stayed with Mom till a late lunch, did housework in the late afternoon. Mom was (and still is) acting like a very tired, very much in pain child, but with the Mommy voice ability. I had to explain to her a couple of times that Nurses trumped Moms in the hospital.
Wednesday: Worked, Mark helps Mom to move to the nursing facility. Visited Mom in the evening.
Yesterday: Took off to help Mom. Slept late (damn, that felt good), did a touch of necessary shopping and went to visit Mom. She was very, very tired from having to sit in a wheelchair too long and her back was hurting. She wanted to get into the bed RIGHT NOW, but there were no sheets on it. When the aide's came, they couldn't move her into bed and had to call the PT. PT didn't show immediately, and I went to rattle a cage. Of course with Mom in pain, every second waiting was like a day to her (and an hour to me). When she finally got into the bed Bob and I left to go get some stuff for her from her home. I took a break at home before going back to stay with Mom without Bob. In the meantime they had moved her twice (wtf?). I spent the afternoon watching TV and needlepointing while Mom slept.
Yesterday evening Bob and I went to Target to try to spend the rest of our gift card ($88). We managed to whittle it down to $25. I meant it when I said we don't need anything. And I don't like the decorative stuff they have right now.
Today I'm working and Bob and I will visit tonight.
