Apr. 5th, 2004 03:09 pmI had a pretty good weekend despite lack of Bob.
Saturday my mom's female relatives got together for the twice-yearly Craft day. ( Back story for those who don't know it )
We had somewhere between 10 and 15 women show up, plus children, babies and the occasional husband who was required to have a child in tow to get in. A couple of cousins had attended a card-making seminar and showed us the technique they learned. ( instructions ) I didn't make cards this way, but I did do a prototype of what I want to do for my wedding invites. I'm going to be cleaning out Michaels for the next month. When I finished that, I went back to the needlepoint I've been working on for 5 years.
Saturday evening, I tried an Italian take-out near my house that I've never been to before. Man, it was rank. Meatballs are not supposed to taste like sponges.
Sunday I ordered Windsor Stones (Like concrete lincoln logs for retaining walls) to raise a retaining wall another row. This should have been easy - I knew what I wanted and how much. I just needed to order it to be delivered. But of course I had to get them at Home Depot and they have no freaking idea what they are doing.
Then I had class, supper and putzed around some.
